First Coast LIVE SCAN in Jacksonville FL, is a registered Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved vendor providing Level 2 pre employment livescan fingerprinting for all industries and needs. We provide services in our office located at 3728 Philips Highway Ste 13, Jacksonville, Fl 32207 or, if it is convenient for you, we can come to your location.

Effective July 1, 2025, all healthcare practitioners must comply with new background screening requirements when applying for initial licensure or renewing their licenses. Staying compliant with the new law is mandatory to maintain licensure.

General Information

Day of Schedule

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time to get any paperwork out of the way. We take 6 appointments at a time and all 6 appointments will be completed within an hour. Please be prepared to stay no later than an hour.

What to bring

We will need two (2) forms of personal identification documents with one of them being a current photo ID.
Florida (or any other State) Driver's License or personal identification card. Second Form of ID (i.e., Credit/Debit Card, Passport, Vehicle Registration, Bank Statement, School ID) Your Originating Agency Identifier Number (ORI Number) - This number identifies the agency requesting the criminal history check and for what purpose.

$60 to $95 depending on the agency requesting the Background Check

I got a phone call today at 4:10pm (Tuesday) asking me if I can still make it to my fingerprint appointment. I said, today is Tuesday and my appointment is not until tomorrow which is Wednesday. I said, I even have a screenshot of my appointment date and time which is Tomorrow. The lady said that my appointment was changed for today because she won’t be available tomorrow (Wednesday). I told her that I could not make it today because I was working at that time. Then she said she could move it to Friday, I said no, that might work for her but not me, I also work on Friday. There is a reason why I made it for Wednesday. She quickly said that she could refund my money, I said yes go ahead and refund me. My advice is, for any one that needs this live scan fingerprint to renew your license like I do, do not go to the Live Scan on First coast, I do not recommend it. They changed my appointment without telling me, and they will move it to when it is convenient to them not you. All this was done last minute. Bad way to run a business. I will never make an appointment with them and I will speak of my experience to all my workers.

I understand your frustration, you made an appointment for the day that worked for you, and the expectation is that it would be provided. Unfortunately, as most probably it has happened to you as well, sometimes things happen and we had to change the date that we had scheduled for our services. Life sometimes throws curve balls when you are not expecting them and we have to adjust. All other clients were able to accommodate the new date or rescheduled, it is unfortunately that that didn't work for you as you have a pretty busy schedule. We understand and for that we sincerely apologize for it. We let you down. I know we wont be there tomorrow, and you cannot make it on Friday, but if you are available on Thursday, although our Live Scan specialist wont be there, I will and I will certainly be ready to assist you free of charge for all the inconvenience we created for you. If we don't get to see you, I wish you only the best.

I just spoke with a young lady ( Ms. Smith)today at 3:08p! She was absolutely phenomenal , I called with questions and let's just say she even answered ones I was afraid to ask! Took her time, gave me very detailed instructions and I felt at peace/ease while speaking with her! Thank you for your assistance!! When looking to hire Ms. Smith should be the BLUEPRINT on what your company requires!!!! I can not say enough words on how grateful I am for her just answering the call!!! Thank you Ms. Smith for being a guiding light to me on today!!!
